About Oxen Park

Oxen Park was formed in 2006, specifically to provide an independent forum for senior HR Business Partners and other HR Leaders who have a passion for developing themselves and enhancing theirs, and their profession’s, contribution to business success. The principals are three independent practitioners who each have proven HR delivery experience as well as extensive consulting and practical exposure to sophisticated HR delivery models. They share a passion to contribute to enhancing the credibility and reputation of HR within the enterprise it serves.

Rick Emslie

An expert in Human Asset measurement, he was founding partner of Sartoga, the HR benchmarking consultancy. He established and facilitated the HRSS Network for six successful years. Prior to becoming a consultant he was a plc HR Director. He is an Honorary Fellow at the Centre for Performance Led HR at Lancaster University and Fellow of the CIPD. Geoff Booth

An experienced business leader, who moved into HR to be become an Ulrich model practitioner with over 10 years in senior/executive positions; held executive HR roles latterly in Financial Service sector; experienced coach and mentor; former Princes Trust mentor; now consulting independently in public and private sectors. Ivan Hickmott

An experienced HR Director (who has fulfilled both Business Partner and COE roles) who since 2000 has consulted externally in OD /Change and Team Development for large/medium sized companies in UK and Europe. Advisory Panel

The principals draw on the advice of an Advisory Panel of European HR leaders. This comprises of Tony Williams, an HR Director in financial services; Mike Watts, who has vast experience at director level in the assurance, financial services, central government and professional HR membership organisations; Jan Cees Marijt, a leading HR practitioner in Europe in fmcg and mobile technology; and Samantha (Sam) Parker, an HR Director in asset management, formerly in fmcg, assurance and insurance sectors.
