We enable sharing and learning with the best in HR people in Europe

Peer Networking

A

networking and learning forum in which experienced HR leaders from across the UK and Continental Europe meet to share experiences and strengthen their personal capabilities and their contribution, and that of HR, to the success of their organisations.

The forum is not a large meeting. Numbers are limited and all attendees can expect to contribute by sharing, debating and listening. Richness is achieved through frank and honest exchange in an environment where respect of confidences is paramount. The agenda is set by members and is fully flexible. Each meeting is different. There is just one consistent element - we all learn something new at each meeting!

Why you should invest time in attending?

Spend quality time with your peers from different organisations / sectors ‘‘sharing’’ the reality of being an HR leader. Become part of a superb learning environment that provides support, challenge and space to think. Access provocative speakers and thought leaders. Benefit from high value networking, a deep dive into a hot HR topic and the means to enhance HR effectiveness. Share thoughts and experience on how to proactively influence your own organisation’s HR model and, more importantly, its entire business strategy.

‘‘This is a great way to keep abreast of what’s happening in the real world not the theoretical world of journals and books’’... ‘‘I know I should network but I never get the time - this is a great way of getting networking on a plate’’ - quote from an HR Leader in a FTSE 100 financial services organisation.

Who should attend?

Open to HR leaders who have a passion for running superbly effective HR functions which make a real difference to their business. Your organisation is likely to be large or medium-sized, in the private
or public sector. You may be planning, in the process of implementing or have undergone a transformation to a radically new HR model.

You are likely to have a significant organisation-wide or business unit HR leadership role. You are committed to building HR capability and its contribution to organisational effectiveness.
You should willing and able to participate proactively in debate.

When and how do we meet?

We offer three types of Peer Networking events. All have a theme relevant to the biggest challenges facing the profession and the businesses that the members are part of.

Forthcoming events are shown in the News section.

24 hour Networking meetings

From 4.00pm on day 1 to 3.00pm on day 2, including a networking dinner; and with a range
of member and external input. These meetings are often hosted at member locations.

Conversations

Typically 2-3 hours in the evening from 6pm to 8.30pm with canapés. A prestigious speaker initiates an informal discussion among peers.

Round-table dinners

Typically 3-4 hours quality peer discussion over dinner stimulated by a guest speaker.
